Parent Survey Results

Dear parents,

May I firstly wish you all a Happy New Year!

I am writing to present the findings of last term’s fully independent parental survey conducted by RSAcademics, a specialist education consultancy with extensive experience in such research.

At QE, we are always looking to move forward and strengthen our provision. We are currently working to formulate our next School Plan, setting out strategic priorities and direction for the five years from September 2025. Since the findings of this parental survey will be important in informing our thinking about the School Plan, I was very encouraged to learn from RSAcademics that the level of participation was exceptionally high, at 69% of all parents; I am deeply grateful to everyone who took part.

RSAcademics have now collated and analysed the responses, comparing them against a benchmark group of leading independent schools. A summary of this analysis may be read by clicking the link below. I am pleased to say that the findings are hugely positive: they show QE right at the top of the benchmark group. Parents are highly satisfied with our academic provision, our teaching, our facilities and with the well-rounded education QE provides. We commissioned a similar survey from RSAcademics in 2019. Of course, much has changed in the intervening five years. In the wider world, there has been Covid-19, with its attendant economic challenges, and the onward march of technologies such as AI. And here at QE, we have celebrated our 450th anniversary, launched our digital strategy, and reshaped what we do through initiatives such as QE Flourish and QE Futures. Happily the survey findings reveal there is one thing that has not changed: our parents remain very happy with the education provided by this School.

Together with the Governors, we will now spend some time digesting and discussing the detail of the responses. We will similarly be looking at the results of our separate pupil survey, which will supplement the feedback generated through pupil conferences in School.

I am pleased to start 2025 on such a positive note. We look to the future with optimism, buoyed by this strong endorsement from parents and deeply appreciative of the valuable feedback you have given.

With best wishes,

Neil Enright
