Reena Pandya BEng, ACA, is a Chartered Accountant who brings extensive experience of the retail and hospitality industries to her role as Chief Financial Officer, together with a strong technical audit and accounts background.
After completing her degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham, she began her career in banking, culminating in a role at a global bank, HSBC, managing a portfolio of small to medium sized businesses.
She then moved on to a Chartered Accountants’ practice based in London, where she led a team auditing companies with turnovers up to £100m.
Before taking up her present post at QE in April 2022, she worked firstly as a Finance Manager with a large international retailer, and then moved on to work with Safestay Plc – an AIM-listed business operating a chain of modern hostels across the UK and Europe. Rising to become Safestay’s Head of Finance, her achievements included making the vital adjustments needed to ensure the business’s survival through the Covid-19 pandemic.
In her free time, Reena has successfully completed the London Marathon, raising money for charity; she has delivered college and university lectures, and she has taken part in various community projects, including the What Money Means programme aimed at improving financial teaching in schools.
Reena is most looking forward bringing a commercial perspective in her role at QE, to ensure the financial stability and growth to support the ever-changing needs of education.Â
