Old Elizabethan Karan Dewnani MEng, GMICE, MAPM is a civil engineer who has worked on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, including HS2 and Crossrail’s Elizabeth Line.
He devotes considerable amounts of time to supporting current boys, whether through helping entrants in engineering competitions, hosting pupils at his workplace, or participating in QE events such as the Careers Convention, Founder’s Day and the carol service. He is a member of the 450 Club, which was set up for donors during 2023, the School’s 450th anniversary year.
Karan (2006–2013) took a Civil and Structural Engineering Master’s degree at Sheffield and is a graduate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and full member of the Association for Project Management.
He has worked for some of the best-known names in civil engineering – Jacobs, Arcadis, WSP and Arup, where he was appointed as a project manager in May 2022.
Karan was appointed to the Governing Body in September 2023.
